It's amazing what we can learn from each other.

We provide support and friendship for new and old injuries, their families and friends.

Getting ready to go home is a big step.  There are so many questions and fears.  Where do I start?  How do I get my home ready?  How do I find home care?  Are there places I can go to continue therapy?  What about transportation?  Will I make it?

We have all asked the same questions.  There will be good days and bad.  This is where our network can help.  We can talk about how we survived.  We'll help you through some of these questions.  We'll be there when you need a friend.  That's what we do for each other.

Plus, we are here for families and friends, too!

We move forward!

Yes, there is life after SCI!  Just take a look at our members, they are filled with determination.  They are an inspiration to both injured and noninjured alike.

Celebrate!

Congratulations for a successful first year of networking and making a difference in the lives of those living with SCI.

Six short years ago, I met a great group of people who would meet to talk about SCI.  They instantly amazed me, demonstrating the strength and determination to overcome disability and return to life.  Life wasn't necessarily "back to normal", but it was a new normal, a different normal.  Through the years, I have seen people come and go through our network of support.  For some people, life-long friendships emerged, while some just needed a push to get out there and start living again.  There were also some people who needed support, but could not make a meeting or didn't know how to get in touch or reach out to someone.  That is when our support group launched our networking website.  Amazingly, our group was able to communicate and lend a hand to others through the click of a button.  This year we connected with 30 other people to help provide support and information about SCI.  Helping others navigate the world of spinal cord injury is our goal.  A big thanks to everyone who has contributed a piece of themselves to make this website resourceful and enjoyable!
